Front Desk Receptionist

Recreation Centre & Ice Facility

Overview
Front Desk Receptionists are the first point of contact for our members and visitors. Responsibilities include greeting patrons, answering questions about memberships, programs, and facility policies, assisting with registrations using RecTrac, answering and directing phone calls, managing the front lobby, and providing excellent customer service.


Qualifications

Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Locker Room Attendant


Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Friday, 3:45 PM to 6:15 PM
Flexible scheduling available.


Overview
Locker Room Attendants supervise participants, primarily from the Hayden After School program, before and after swim lessons. Responsibilities include taking attendance, helping participants change efficiently, ensuring belongings are stored properly, monitoring locker room safety, maintaining a clean and organized space, and assisting members as needed.


Qualifications

Comfortable working with children.

Responsible, dependable, and able to maintain a safe environment.

Group Leader

Hayden After School & Josiah Hayden Pre-School


Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM
Friday, 12:00 PM to 6:15 PM
Flexible scheduling available throughout the school year.


Overview
Group Leaders supervise and engage children in a variety of recreational activities while creating a safe, welcoming, and positive environment. Hayden After School Group Leaders also assist with supervising students during transportation from local schools to the Recreation Centre.


Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Experience working with children is required.

Assistant Group Leader

Overview
Assistant Group Leaders support Group Leaders in supervising children, leading activities, and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for participants.


Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Enjoy working with children and participating in recreational activities.

Learn to Skate Coach/Instructor


Overview
Skating Instructors teach the fundamentals of skating through the U.S. Figure Skating Learn to Skate USA curriculum. Instructors provide safe, engaging, and positive instruction while promoting skill development, confidence, and a fun learning environment. Responsibilities include ensuring participant safety, communicating with parents and staff, assisting with class organization, and following program guidelines.

Assistant Swim Team Coach


Overview
The Hayden Dolphins Assistant Coach works under the supervision of the Head Coach and Aquatics Director to help provide a safe, supportive, and positive team environment. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, instructing swimmers in competitive strokes, supporting athlete development, and encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship.


Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Competitive swimming experience required; leadership experience preferred.

Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or equivalent) preferred.

Morning Lifeguard

Opening Shift


Schedule
Hiring for three weekday morning shifts beginning at 6:15 AM. Specific days are flexible, and additional hours may be available.


Overview
Morning Lifeguards help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members during early morning aquatic programming. Responsibilities include supervising the pool, enforcing facility safety rules, responding to emergencies, and providing excellent customer service.


Qualifications

Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification required.

Candidates interested in becoming certified or recertified are encouraged to apply. Training opportunities may be available.

Lifeguards

Hours and availability vary throughout the year. Mornings, mid-day, afternoon, evenings, weekends, etc. Guarding duties include overseeing the pool for safety during lap swimming, youth swim classes, youth free swim, and swim clinic/team practices. Please contact CeCe Flores cflores@jwhayden.org

Swim Instructors

Hours and availability vary throughout the year. Mornings, afternoon, evenings, weekends, etc. Instructors will teach youth members based on American Red Cross level lesson plans. Please contact CeCe Flores cflores@jwhayden.org

Hayden After School Group Leaders

We're seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals with an interest and experience working with children.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have experience working with children.


Hours available Monday - Thursday, 3:00 - 6:15PM and Fridays 12:00 - 6:15PM.
