Progressive Swim Level 5. Six year olds should have ability of Level
3. Team tryouts for children ages 10 and under as of November 1st
are from 5:15 to 6:00 PM on October 13th and 15th. All others report
from 5:15 to 6:00 PM on October 14th for try-outs. The focus of the
team will be to train for time improvement over the course of the
season. As this is not a “learn to swim” program, all
swimmers should have proper strokes prior to making the team. Names
of those making the team will be posted at Hayden on October 17th
at 1:00PM Class fees will not be accepted before that date.
Swimmer must not be competing on another team during the Hayden
season.

| Lifeguard Training- Class

| Class Fee: $175.00 members, $230 non-members |
| February 2-4, 9-11 (4:00 to 9:00
PM) and a second course, May 18-20, 25-27 (4:00 pm to 9:00 pm). Candidate
must be 15 years or older. Requirements: Must be able to swim 300
yards continuously, tread water with legs only, retrieve a 10-lb.
object in 7 feet of water. CPR and first aid taught within
the course. All classes are mandatory- no exceptions. (Includes
all materials and Red Cross textbooks.) |

| This class will take place on
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-9:00 PM, starting on March 16 and
ending on April 15. Classes will NOT take place on April 21 and April
23. You must be at least 16 years old and have the skill proficiency
of Level 5 to take this course. There is a pre-course test on March
15 at 6:00 pm that participants must pass in order to remain in the
class. The pre-course test includes water safety and swimming skills.
Participants must also complete student teaching hours that
can be worked out with the instructor and/or Aquatic Director after
successfully passing the course. |
