Volunteer Information
The Hayden Dolphin's meets have run so smoothly in the past thanks to the parents willingness to help we hope this will remain the same this year.
At each home swim meet we need to fill the following jobs: 1 Starter, 1 Stroke and Turn Judge, 1 Place Judge, 2 Runners, 8 Timers and 1 scorekeeper
Descriptions of Volunteer Jobs
Starter - Starts each event by reading the event name and number then starts the swimmers (swimmers take your mark, go)
Timer - Uses a stopwatch to record the times of the children in their assigned lane, records these times on the swimmers card
Runner - Picks ups cards and brings them to the scorers
Stroke and Turn - disqualifies swimmers when they have done something illegal (requires some training)
Scorekeeper - uses the computer to enter scores from each even (requires some training)
